“I did not know if I would ever get out of jail,” said Lindsey Isaacs, a Florida woman who testified before Congress about being wrongly accused in a deadly crash and jailed on vehicular homicide charges after data from a Flock Safety automated license-plate recognition system became part of the investigation. Isaacs said she was put in solitary confinement for 86 hours. “I came here today because I want you to understand that surveillance technology does not exist in a vacuum,” Isaacs testified Wednesday before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
