A SITTING U.S. PRESIDENT JUST TRIED TO HAND-PICK ANOTHER COUNTRY'S LEADER AND HIS OWN VICE PRESIDENT WOULDN'T TOUCH IT
Donald Trump stood up and endorsed Benjamin Netanyahu in Israel's election like he's some kind of global kingmaker
JD Vance looked at that and said nope, not me, "not getting involved in Israeli elections"
Think about that for one second. Trump's own VP wouldn't get within ten feet of this because even he knows how it looks
A president of the United States publicly thumbing the scale of a foreign democracy's vote
Not quiet diplomacy. Not a private call. A public endorsement, broadcast, like he's picking a winner on a reality show
Then in the same breath Trump turns to Europe and says if you don't close your borders and crush the protesters "Europe is finished"
Protesters. People exercising the exact right Trump claims to love when it's his own rallies
He's not analyzing unrest in France, he's threatening an entire continent over it, like Europe answers to him now too
This is a man who can't win his own approval rating at home, sitting at 33 percent, two weeks before midterms that are shaping up to be a bloodbath for his party
So what does he do? Reach outward. Insert himself into Israel. Lecture Europe. Play global strongman while the roof caves in domestically
This isn't foreign policy. This is a man desperate to look powerful somewhere, anywhere, because at home the polling says the country is done with him
Allies are flinching. His own VP is flinching. And Trump just keeps talking like the whole world answers to him
He doesn't have a strategy, he has a mirror, and he's pointing it at every election on earth
This is not leadership, this is a man who cannot stand being irrelevant anywhere, ever, for one single day
And the scariest part, half this country will cheer it as strength
