People that are all for the EU have no idea what the EU is about. The Europe that people think of is a romanticized version that has not existed for many years. The EU is a heavy handed unelected body with a strong authoritarian bent that rules above national sovereignty.

Before Mr Carney hands Canada's control over to the authoritarian and ultra-woke EU a thorough debate and referendum for such a massive change in the way the country will operate under the EU's strict rules must happen. Canada is not our European PM's to give away.

Where the hell are the Conservatives over Carney's desire to put us under the EU's heel? This is exactly why he was parachuted into Canada from his beloved Europe. I have no desire to have my country dictated over by the authoritarian EU.

If Mr Carney is not looking out for EU/Brussels first why do we still have a $50 billion trade deficit with them? Why are they allowed to sell us more than twice as much as we can sell them? Any bets Mr Carney does nothing to rectify that when goes to talk to the EU next week?

If we are to be absorbed by the EU could we at least have a referendum on the subject? Contrary to Mr Carney's beliefs Canada is not his to give away. I do not want my country dictated to by the authoritarian EU/Brussels.
