‘26 WR Noah Smith will make a case for DII MVP. Maybe the most impactful player we’ve seen on both sides of the ball this season, Smith recorded a receiving touchdown, a rushing touchdown, an interception, several PBUs and 2 bone-crushing hits. Kid doesn’t miss a single snap, going both ways for 48 minutes. Unquestionably a next-level player. @Noah_Smith09 | @GoFaithLions | @GFCSFB #txhsfb

‘26 WR Jacob Montes has Saturday speed. Some guys you just know have it. Legit 4.4, 10.89 100 speed. It shows up on the field as well. Just turn on the tape from his two scores this evening, and it looks like the kid was shot out of a cannon. Collegiate programs need him on their radar. @JacobMontes2026 | @GoFaithLions | @GFCSFB #txhsfb

‘26 QB Austin Cosby has taken a massive step forward. The senior looks polished, mechanically and athletically, as he is commanding one of the top offenses in the state. Slinging over 300 yards per game thus far, he will now lead the Lions through the most daunting division in TXPS. A @AustinCosby_ | @GoFaithLions | @GFCSFB #txhsfb

‘26 RB Matteo Schirripa runs like he’s mad at the ground. Truly one of the more punishing rushers in the division, Schrippa adds another layer to this dynamic Faith offense, making it impossible to key on any single facet. @teoschirripa29 | @GoFaithLions | @GFCSFB #txhsfb

TAPPS Division I 📊 Week 4 Recap - Fall 2025 📊 ⭐ Game of the Week #1 77 – Grapevine Faith Christian School @GFCSFB 44 – St. Michael’s Catholic Preparatory School-Austin @SMPREP_FB 🔹 Grapevine Faith lit up the scoreboard in Week 4, breaking a three-game skid against St. Michael’s with a 77–44 shootout win that showcased one of the state’s most explosive offenses. Senior QB Austin Cosby @AustinCosby_ was nearly flawless, throwing for 400 yards and five TDs while completing nearly 79% of his passes, and his favorite target Noah Smith @Noah_Smith09 piled up 159 total yards and four scores. Senior RB Matteo Schirripa @teoschirripa29 rushed for 192 yards and 3 TDs with Charlie Bunch adding 96 receiving yards, while the Lions’ defense forced two interceptions by Lucca Lovera @LuccaLovera and Charlie Donovan @CDonovan1128 with a fumble to keep the Warriors from closing the gap. St. Michael’s QB Nico Anderson @nico_anderson27 put up a huge fight with 439 yards and five TDs of his own, but Grapevine Faith’s pace was simply too much, averaging over eight yards per play and pulling away by the third quarter. The Lions moved to 2–0 while averaging an eye-popping 66 points per game, positioning themselves as a dangerous contender in TAPPS Division II. ⭐ Game of the Week #2 49 – Southwest Christian School-Fort Worth @SCSEaglesFB 13 – Nolan Catholic High School-Fort Worth @NolanCatholicFB 🔹 Southwest Christian delivered a statement in Division I, rolling past Nolan Catholic 49–13 to notch its first 4–0 start in 21 years. The Eagles’ ground attack was relentless, with Trey Mosley @Treythefuture1 and Slade Evans @SladeEvans1 pounding out big gains behind a physical offensive line, while QB Eli Hufstetler kept the offense balanced and efficient through the air. The defense gave up some early scores but tightened after halftime, allowing SCS to break open what was a close contest into a rout by the third quarter. Nolan’s Aaron Morales @Aaronjmorales and Jimmy Suter @jimmy_suter4 flashed in spurts, but the Vikings couldn’t match Southwest Christian’s pace or physicality. 💥 Player of the Week 🏅 Jaylen Pile @jaylenpile2026 🏫 Parish Episcopal School-Dallas @ParishSports 🎧 Daniel Novakov @coachnovakov 🔹 Michigan commit @UMichFootball Senior wideout Jaylen Pile delivered a career night in Parish’s 43–38 shootout win over Cornerstone, erupting for 272 receiving yards and two touchdowns. His big-play ability stretched the Warrior secondary all evening and gave freshman QB Logan Lucero @loganlucero2010 a trusted go-to target. Pile’s performance not only set a new career high but also reminded everyone why he’s one of Division I’s most dangerous playmakers in space. 👀 Things to Watch 🔹 Concordia Lutheran High School-Tomball @clhstxathletics blanked Fort Bend Christian Academy - Sugar Land @FBCAathletics 22–0 behind their RB Malik Liberty @MalikLiberty17, WR Jaxon Coleman @JaxonColeman45, and DB Rome Stanford @RomeStanford. That defense is showing playoff-caliber bite just in time for the start of district play. 🔹 Trinity Christian Academy-Addison @TCAAddisonFB enters district play at 2–1 under new HC Trey Haverty @TreyHaverty, and the Trojans have shown they can put points up in bunches behind QB Hunter Flatt @HunterFlatt9 and WR Chase Griffin. The question is whether they can tighten things up defensively after surrendering late explosive plays in a narrow 31–29 loss to St. Mark’s. With Liberty Christian @LCS__Football and Legacy Christian @LCAFriscoFB on deck before the gauntlet of Parish, Bishop Lynch, and Prestonwood @PCALionsFB, how quickly TCA’s defense adjusts may determine if they sneak into the playoff picture in TAPPS Division I. 🔹 Bishop Lynch High School–Dallas @BishopLynchHS followed a big opening win with two straight losses (one still under dispute), but the pieces are there for a turnaround. The offense has shown real firepower with QB Matias Leon @Matias_Leon00, RB Ish Muhammad @babyishmuhammad, and freshman standout WR Zach Williams @black2thamax all emerging as playmakers. If the defense can rise to the same level, the Friars could become one of the district’s toughest outs. With back-to-back matchups against Parish and Prestonwood on deck, we’ll soon find out where they stand. #txhsfb #TAPPSFootball

🚨 2025 Season Preview 🚨 Grapevine Faith Christian TAPPS D2, District 1 HC: @Coach_Fuller Team: @GFCSFB @Noah_Smith09 @AustinOdette1 @AustinCosby_ @Jensen62Anthony @CharlieBunch_ @CDonovan1128 @JacobMontes2026 @LuccaLovera @HatawaySco95228 @Corbzirwin @canon_hunter @wyattpowers2029 @ClarkLemmermann The Lions' record from last season may look rough on paper, but it doesn’t tell the full story. Five of their losses came by less than a touchdown, highlighting just how close they were to turning the corner. This year, new head coach Mike Fuller brings a wealth of UIL experience and a strong track record of success to Faith, looking to steer the program in a new direction. Offensively, the Lions are loaded with talent. Wide receiver Noah Smith headlines a dynamic group of skill players as the top target for returning quarterback Austin Cosby. Cosby will have plenty of weapons at his disposal, including versatile playmakers Charlie Donovan, Charlie Bunch, Jacob Montes, and Lucca Lovera. Montes and Lovera, both transfers from Southlake Carroll, are expected to make an immediate impact on both sides of the ball. Up front, linemen Jensen Anthony, Austin Odette, and Scott Hataway lead a physical unit in the trenches determined to control the line of scrimmage. On the defensive side, linebacker Corbin Irwin sets the tone, while the secondary features a strong mix of returning talent and athleticism with Canon Hunter joining Donovan, Bunch, and others to lock things down. With a fresh coaching approach and a roster full of promise, the Lions are poised to take a big step forward this season. If opponents take them lightly, Faith could very well find themselves in the hunt for a second or third-place finish in a competitive district.
