When Lola Ogunbote realized life was too short not to pursue her dreams, she quit law and never looked back, launching a football career that would take her around the world and see her work for her childhood club.
A Nigerian-born Brit, Lola spent more than eight years building a successful career as a UK-qualified lawyer before making the bold decision to follow her passion for football.
In the same week she left the legal profession, she discovered a coaching opportunity with Arsenal Football Club, applied, and secured a place on the programme.
What began as a leap of faith quickly evolved into an international coaching journey. After completing her training with Arsenal, Lola represented the club across Australia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique, delivering football development programmes and helping to nurture talent globally.
Her contributions earned her a coaching award presented by Arsenal players themselves, a particularly meaningful achievement for a lifelong Arsenal supporter.
Since entering the football industry in 2016, Lola has gone on to lead professional men's and women's teams across multiple continents, establishing herself as a respected football leader.
Proudly embracing the richness of her Nigerian heritage, she is also a passionate advocate for gender equity and increased female participation in football, using her platform to inspire the next generation of women in sport.
