I am pleased to confirm that as of 16:01, the sum of £40,376.22 has been paid across to my solicitors.
I therefore anticipate withdrawing the bankruptcy petition next week as the debt owed to me will have been paid in full.
As you know, I am a fair and reasonable man. I very generously granted an indulgence earlier this week, although I did not have to, precisely because I am extraordinarily reasonable.
While some of you were no doubt looking forward to bankruptcy proceedings, I must point out that settling a debt in full brings proposed bankruptcy proceedings to an end, by design.
This therefore concludes the civil litigation commenced against me back in March 2024.
I am grateful for your support throughout this process.

My 17 yr old son started an electrician apprenticeship yesterday. 4 days a week working, 1 day in college.
Up at 5.30am and has to travel hour and twenty on tube across London to site.
Couldn’t be more proud.
This is not easy and so many nowadays wouldn’t do it.

Were the shoe on the other foot, his creditor would not have extended similar benevolence.
Hayden v Heath update. The judge ordered that the petition should not be issued before today. That was on the basis of payment in full by 15 September. Mathew has provided an indulgence to his opponent in the form of a slight extension of time. I will update again after Friday.

Genuinely asking. She already got five 9s. But we've submitted remark applications for four more GCSEs where she was literally 1-2 marks off a 9 in each.
I feel a bit awful about it, but also... those two marks.

About this.
I wasn't medically fit to fly.
The train managers were Dutch. My German is passable but I wasn't in the position to make a big fuss.
It is also Oktoberfest so everything was busy.
I paid for a private sleeper compartment from Vienna to Amsterdam.
When I opened the door, two men were already inside.
The train company had double-booked it.
Their solution? Put me in a compartment like this with a male stranger for what became an 18-hour journey.
He was perfectly kind. This is not a complaint about him, and I suspect he felt awkward too.
But I couldn’t change clothes. To use the toilet, I had to climb down from the top bunk and squeeze past his bed. I lay awake all night, fully dressed, scrolling through my phone.
The railway knew nothing about my history, my vulnerabilities or why unexpectedly being shut inside this tiny space with an unknown man might leave me frozen with anxiety.
This is why privacy and single-sex accommodation matter.
Not because every man is dangerous.
Because women shouldn’t have to prove that one is before our boundaries and dignity matter.

And after all that, the train due into Amsterdam at 9am finally arrived at 12.30.
Eighteen hours, no sleep and rather more intimacy than either of us had booked.
I was ready to kiss the platform.
