Sometimes you do not enter a space because you already know enough. You enter because you have the curiosity—and the nerve—to learn in public. Waiting until you feel completely ready is often just a very elegant way of never beginning.
I arrived at Piece of Pie with far more questions than answers, embarrassed myself a few times, learned an absurd amount, and ended up doing things that, twelve weeks earlier, I did not even know how to name. 😂💻
I did not win a prize, but if Piece of Pie had rewarded the people who didn’t know a damn thing when they started, I would have swept every category. 🤣🤣🤣🏆
And perhaps that is a pretty decent victory: entering without knowing, enduring the discomfort, and leaving as someone different from the person who arrived. 💛🚀

I’m here to report that one of my best documented impulsive decisions made it into the Piece of Pie yearbook. 🥧
It started as “let’s see what happens.”
It ended as “oh damn, it actually happened.”
Thank you, @gimbalabs, for making the adventure officially documented.
CIL Market Bridge made it into the Piece of Pie yearbook. 🥧
Which means there is now public evidence that I voluntarily got myself into this experiment, survived it, and somehow delivered something functional.
The project started from a very simple question:
what if, before selling blockchain as a magical answer, we started by understanding the business problem?
That question became CIL Market Bridge: an early beta that helps non-technical users explore whether blockchain actually deserves to be considered, or whether what comes first is something more basic — clarity, coordination, better records, a more sensible commercial path, or a much simpler solution.
I built it solo, with many questions, several bugs, rebellious payments, questionable screenshots, and a respectable amount of “breathe, Juanita, breathe.”
Also with a lot of learning, a lot of stubbornness, and that dangerous kind of curiosity that sometimes gets you into trouble… but also leads you to build things that did not exist before.
