Actually, I think Gritsyuk profiles almost more as a driver himself. He's young so he hasn't locked in any skill badges yet from me, but he's headed towards driving a middle-six line more than riding along with Jack/Bratt.
But he could always get new skills. Soo early.

Edvinsson is a pretty rare case of a shot blocking enforcer that is actually a very good player due to his complete D game which extends to protecting the blueline and playing competent offense. I'm sure a ton of teams would love a 23yo like this.

This is a pretty common profile for a complementary 1st line winger. Very good offence, with a specific knack for finishing opportunities their top-end playmaking center.
The discourse is ridiculous at both ends. Some think he's a unicorn power forward and some think he's a 3rd liner.
He is a fine 1st line winger or very good second liner. Maybe the fit with Matthews isn't great, which drives the negative discourse, but he's still very good.

Wood certainly has some skills that can be leveraged, his speed in particular.
But also had a very specific game with lots of holes that make his overall impact highly dependent on the scheme he is in.

Devils wanted to find a guy for Bratt and Hughes that would finish the golden opportunities the set up. Matha is, on paper, an excellent fit. He's a "finisher" three years running, with both volume and efficiency, and he can handle it in tight.

If Evangelista can make it work at the bumper that'd be great for NJ, because in addition to being one of the best FO men in the league, Nico happens to be one of the best players in the league right around the crease. Perfect for PP Centerman.
He's one of only 4 players in the league to badge in both netmouth and quick draw, and only he and Auston Matthews have badged two years in a row.
Watching back, yes, a beautiful PP snipe by Evange from the bumper position, but watch your #NJDevil Captain, Nico, compete by picking himself up off the ice and battling back for the net front position to provide a screen. 💪

I don't think I quite realized just how much Erik Karlsson has clawed his way back to elite status offensively. He has his warts (particularly defensively), but, with optimized usage, he's an incredibly valuable asset.

Fantili's comfortably a "good" player. His ability to advance the puck earns him a good chunk of minutes at the top of the lineup and he finishes well enough to cash in on the possessions. Middling defensive impacts have kept him from true 1C status, but at 21, he'll get there.
