News: Congressman Bryan Steil took donations from Big Pharma lobbyists right before voting in favor of the pharmaceutical companies. On July 1, 2025, Steil received a $500 contribution from pharma lobbyist Dan Todd and two days later, voted for the One Big Beautiful Bill, which contained a provision that gave a $8.8 billion handout to Big Pharma, according to the Congressional Budget Office. On March 31, 2022, Steil received $1,500 in campaign cash from Robert Wood, a lobbyist for PhRMA, the pharmaceutical industry’s trade and lobbying group. It’s hard to watch this video. A reporter asked Cindy Hyde-Smith a serious question about Nolan Wells' tragic passing, and she chose to run away and call security. At the very least, she could have acknowledged Nolan’s family and offered her condolences for their tremendous loss. For everyone who knew Nolan and loved him, this is deeply disappointing. No matter your politics, there should always be some basic humanity when talking about someone who lost his life — especially from an elected official. Mississippi deserves better.

There is not enough super pac money to fix this.

The latest example of a state government under Greg Abbott that is so broken that it can’t or won’t provide the basic services we pay for. Local governments and taxpayers will, again, have to foot the bill. We can’t afford another 4 years of Greg Abbott.
