NEW: The U.S. ambassador to Beijing said Trump told Xi that any Chinese support for Tehran is “completely unacceptable.” That is Washington’s readout of the White House meeting, via CNBC. Xi’s public line, via Xinhua, was different: return to the Islamabad MoU and talk. No joint statement says Beijing cut oil, parts or intel. A warning from one side is not a concession from the other. If support for Tehran is off-limits, what does Washington count as support — weapons, oil, or both?
