On the 25th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, we remember and mourn the nearly 3,000 lives lost that day, including 24 Canadians. We remember the communities across Canada that opened their homes to thousands of passengers aboard diverted flights. We remember the more than 40,000 Canadian Armed Forces members who served in Afghanistan in the fight against terrorism. 25 years later, we honour the victims, the families they left behind, and all those who answered the call in the days and years that followed. We will never forget.
