We're holding space for defining gravity. 💚 We use a special type of beaming stars, pulsars, to create a galactic gravitational-wave detector with Murriyang, our Parkes radio telescope. The pulsar’s beams can be slightly disrupted by gravitational waves.

To detect these very faint signals, we need to hold space for them. We can all do this by turning off all mobile, WiFi and Bluetooth technology when approaching the observatory, so those signals are not detected by our telescope instead!
