Enow Etta: "It's definitely a punch in the gut, but in the locker room it was that we just have to work. It's over - we can't change it - but we can change the future."

Kyle Whittingham: "That's football. You can play not so well and win, you can play well and lose."

Kyle Whittingham on Blake Frazier coming back in and Savion Hiter getting the bulk of the reps late: "Blake's a tough individual and came back after it was very painful. Fortunately, it wasn't serious. He was certainly playing through pain. Jordan Marshall, I thought he had his best game, and I think Savion was running well. As far as I know it wasn't because of injury that Jordan wasn't in there."

Kyle Whittingham: "Well, you have to bounce back. That's life. You get knocked on your butt. Continue to fight and scrap. Unless I miss my guess, this team is going to come back next week and play very well."

Kyle Whittingham: "I thought our offense was at its best it's been all year. Bryce had his best game. "We completely dominated them statistically, but that doesn't really matter. Final score's all that matters."

Kyle Whittingham: "It was a tough locker room, but told them, hey, it's a shame we let it get away from us. Sometimes in life you get knocked down and things seem tough and how are you going to overcome that, but that's life. You have to pick yourself up, get back to work."

Kyle Whittingham: "Bottom line is, we were penalized too much again today. Before the game, we were somewhere in the middle of the country in penalties. Now we're probably in the top 20 or 30. It's excessive."

Michigan DB Rod Moore: "I ain't never lost a game like this, so we just have to get better. Iowa's a good team. We're a great team. We should've executed better. That's why I'm shaking my head, because it doesn't make sense."

Michigan QB Bryce Underwood: "This week, we emphasized trusting each other more and we made plays when the ball was in the air."

Michigan DB Rod Moore: "I'm gonna be real, all their yards came on that last drive. We had three opportunities to get off the field — I should've caught that, Zeke could've caught one."

Michigan DB Rod Moore on Zeke Berry penalty: "Just gotta be smarter."

Michigan DB Rod Moore: "Defensively at the end of the game, you could see we had about three opportunities to close out the game and two stupid penalties. We shot ourselves in the foot."

Jay Hill sent Chris Bracy on back-to-back safety blitzes and he got home on both. Forced Hank Brown to throw it away, then on third down tipped the pass.

Blake Frazier is quickly back in the game at right tackle.

True freshman Marky Walbridge is in at right tackle for Michigan. The Wolverines also start out with an extra offensive lineman, Avery Gach.
