Another important step in preparing for the Integrated Field Exercise 2026: the equipment was shipped from #CTBTO's storage facility and arrived safely in Namibia this Friday morning. The exercise builds up readiness for the on-site inspection (OSI) regime under the CTBT, once the Treaty enters into force. The equipment will allow scientists and experts to test the tools, procedures and coordination needed to assess and validate the OSI capabilities. Follow us for updates on IFE26.

🔬 The She Shapes Science Fellowship held its second Bootcamp last week! Women scientists from across regions explored #CTBTO verification technologies — from seismic waves and hydroacoustics to infrasound and atmospheric trace gases — while strengthening their expertise in International Monitoring System (IMS) data and International Data Centre (IDC) data. 🎯 The goal: build national capacity, expand the use of #CTBT data, with women firmly at the center of technical fields that shape our world.

30 years ago, the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty #CTBT was opened for signature. On this significant day, as Latvia🇱🇻 chairs the @CTBTO Preparatory Commission in 2026, we reaffirm our strong support for the Treaty, its entry into force, and a world free of nuclear tests.
