After much consideration, I’ve decided to endorse and support @kareemformayor
and @vanliberals
for Mayor of Vancouver. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Kareem for several years, and he has become someone I trust and admire — a truly progressive conservative who is in politics for all the right reasons.
Originally, I had expressed my support and enthusiasm for an old friend, Pete Fry. But as the pro-Hamas and anti-@israel lobby began to coalesce behind him, it is just not possible for me to support him. As for city council candidates, I’ve only solidly decided on three so far: @DrMoiraStilwell @sarahkirby_yung @victoriajungvan
I encourage everyone to research the candidates’ platforms, think carefully about the future of our city, and vote. Vancouver’s direction depends on informed choices at the ballot box.
