The Colts are 2-3, thin at WR, and Jones has 3 passing TDs in 5 games. Why not give Anthony Richardson a shot? His legs could extend drives, take pressure off our receivers, and open lanes for JT. Even if he struggles, we’d finally learn whether AR can be our future. #ForTheShoe
My reasoning goes beyond just wanting Richardson to start.
With our WR depth being so thin, we’re asking Jones to operate an offense that relies heavily on receivers getting separation. Richardson gives us another way to move the ball when that isn’t happening.
And the biggest factor for me is the future. If we’re going to struggle anyway, I’d rather spend those games evaluating our former 4th overall pick instead of entering another offseason with the same unanswered questions.
I’m not ignoring his accuracy issues or turnover concerns. Those are legitimate problems. But through five games, Jones has only thrown 3 TDs, and we’re sitting at 2-3.
My projections over the remaining 12 games have us finishing 9-8 with Richardson versus 7-10 with Jones.
Defenses would have to respect the QB run, which could create more opportunities for Jonathan Taylor. Richardson can also extend plays, escape pressure, and turn broken plays into positive yardage.
Legit can't stand listening to JJ Watt commentate Texans/Steelers games. All he does is Glaze his past and His brother. Dude needs to go to NON-BIASED games.
I didn't see 1 Hoosier fan talk shit about the Cornhuskers, until I saw Cornhusker fans start dogging on the Hoosiers. lol why did that happen? #weird#CFB
