Paintings and plants have a way they change a house to a home. Even if you don't appreciate art, you have got to hang one on your walls to make them talk.

If your assumption is based on affordable housing you could be right but the only reason why Kenya is able to promise more 45,000 by December 2026 is the difference in how the state finances these projects. Whereas Uganda is figuring out from private-public investment, Kenya made it mandatory for every formal employe to have 1.5% deducted from their Gross monthly Salary, Kenyans didn't like it but it is yielding results in their favor.

Kenya 🇰🇪 has a working government, I'm not trying to compare it to Uganda 🇺🇬 Just saying! Things happening in Kenya might take Uganda 30 years or so!

This conclusion scientifically wrong but politically it can confuse some individuals for sure .
My conclusion is that certain individuals in Government created the false El Niño forecast to enable the plunder of public funds in the name of road construction and repairs in Nairobi through an emergency fund. How else do explain why heavy rains forecasted for July, 2026 are yet to arrive in October, 2026? Further, why are there no similar projects outside Nairobi?

Too many people who claim to care about the poor are more interested in making life harder for the rich than making life easier for the poor.

You will find Kenyans trashing this unfortunately
Look at our neighboring country Kenya, what did we do wrong as Ugandans?

It is okay for a president to work remotely in the 21st Century.
President of Cameroon, the 93-year-old Paul Biya, is expected to visit Cameroon next week! He will have a two-week working trip before returning to Geneva, Switzerland, where he lives.

If Kenya 🇰🇪 had Ruto for 40 years, the country would be better than Singapore. Kenyans should not be so short sighted. President Ruto is projecting them direct into a first class world not even a second class.
What exactly makes Kenyans hate this guy? I see he tries so hard to make the country a better one daily. Is there anything we don't see?

The Bamutakudde model has to be studied and replicated , it is a testament that corporate governance systems can work but it also shows that serious service delivery happens at the bottom of the pyramid. The fact that all residents in this village will switch to clean cooking (gas) speaks volumes.

What are your thoughts on this?
This is what passes for dense urban development in most of the USA. Is it dense? no. Is it walkable? Not really. But does it create affordable housing? 20%, legally, is affordable. But Americans love it?? I don't think so ...

Kenya's affordable housing is missing one thing , the biophilic aspects. A concrete jungle and intense urban island heat effect is inevitable.

Kenya is likely to close the housing gap faster than I had estimated.

AMERICAN TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS ON UGANDA. I told you, no government around the world will block Kenya through travel restrictions, Kenyans fight back like crazy. Reason I think EAST AFRICAN Leaders must handle this matter as a block so we benefit from that unity. These restrictions are economic in nature, nothing else! You matter economically, no one blocks you. You are poor, they block you and throw the keys in the ocean and forget about you, they must have economic interests in your space.
