Bitcoin still very much the only thing that matters in the crypto industry the rest is just scams. Stables are just currnet iteration of cbdcs.
No project besides btc has solved the byzantine general problem, at this scale.
Still early days, but fiats' days are limited.

This actually harms vendors even more. You can return money if you want, you dont need bankers to do that. If you as a shop don't return the money under which consumer laws protect consumers, you are committing fraud.
