On December 2, 2026 SCOTUS will hear arguments regarding Connecticut's and Illinois' bans on "assault weapons" SCOTUS has already ruled on this in District of Columbia v. Heller. These bans are unconstitutional. Blue states, such as Washington, continue to pass unconstitutional gun laws because there are no repercussions. Until leftist politicians are personally sued for violating the Constitution they will continue to pass these unconstitutional laws with wanton disregard. E2SHB 1163 (the gun permit bill) is unconstitutional. No permit is required to exercise any other Constitutional right. So, how can this even be considered as legal? Before anyone argues this point: driving is a privilege, not a right. Gun stores SHOULD NOT comply. This sheriff will back you up.

Isn’t it funny all these companies and people who claim they are “carbon neutral” because they bought carbon credits? She called the sum conservative because it assumed only one day out of compliance. ⠀ Dygert Road was billed $52,000 for 26 children. Pleasant View was billed $46,000 for 23. ⠀ Shady Lane was billed $20,000 for 10. ⠀ Footnote 9 of the Second Circuit opinion records the state's view. Each day an unvaccinated student attends is a fresh violation and a fresh $2,000 fine. ⠀ Another day for those 59 children is another $118,000.
