Bitwise spent some time shilling Solana but here their researcher admits it’s inflationary. Strange to encourage an investment in an inflationary asset.

A lot of crypto assets have some sort of inflation. Doesn’t make them bad assets to own at all, especially when that inflation can increasingly be offset with buybacks, burns, etc w more activity. Hope this helps.

Things like burns are trickery to fake-pump an asset precisely because they lack scarcity. It’s one of the go-to solutions when price isn’t going up and networks want to generate demand. People seem to think every asset is an investment but as we saw by the DOGE ETF shutting down, they are not (also inflationary).

That’s certainly one opinion. Seems like you only value SoV assets (which is totally fine). Protocols that offer services like smart contracts don’t operate the same because there are costs to running the service. That’s how most proof-of-stake protocols work. Trying to help
