Quebec dairy farmers are running misleading ads that suggest cows get to live in pastures. In reality, over 70% of Quebec dairy cows spend their lives chained by the neck inside stalls in barns. I'm glad @lesoleildeqc covered this troubling ad campaign.

Privatizing airports will make air travel more expensive. This is VERY basic math. Companies aim to extract profit for shareholders and will force us to pay more.
In a country where airlines already engage in monopolistic gouging, the last thing we need is privatized airports.

Ontario is planning to BAN horse slaughter in provincial plants! Why? Because they acknowledge the public is largely against killing horses for food.

Canada banned whale & breeding captivity in 2019.
These belugas were supposed to be the last generation to suffer in captivity, but they won't be.
US aquariums can now breed them because Canada didn't attach any no-breeding conditions to export permits, undermining our laws.

Canada's government still hasn't come clean about the export permits for these belugas, and whether they approved their "rescue" to American aquariums that want the belugas to use as breeding stock—which is ILLEGAL in Canada.

This week 20,000 pigs burned to death in a factory farm fire in Ontario.
They haven't let photographers inside. But here's what another pig factory farm looked like after it burned.
It's hard to imagine the suffering of these intelligent, sensitive animals — trapped, without any means of escape or hope of help, as the flames engulfed them.
It's harder to imagine the greed of an industry too cheap to even install sprinkler systems.
It stuns me that we let farmers confine 20K sentient pigs inside a single factory farm—just imagine their terror at burning alive inside a miserable warehouse. Please take a look at your food choices and consider opting out of this system.

The truth is that these large-scale, industrial operations don't care about the well-being of animals. They just care about profit. Why pay for sprinklers when insurance covers the fire, and they're back to business as usual?

Reptile expos treat snakes, lizards, and other sensitive little beings like commodities, often stuffing them inside reused takeout containers. They shouldn't be allowed and these animals are NOT appropriate pets.
