Warmth, light & family are often part of gatherings at this time of year. The techniques & patterns used to make this copper “manqal” (منقل) originated from the Ottoman period. This tradition of copper work continues today in Souk al-Nahhāsin, Tripoli’s coppersmith market, in 🇱🇧.
