For 100 years, The Royal Canadian Legion has stood beside Canada's Veterans, honoured those who served, and strengthened communities across the country. Today, as we gather in Ottawa to commemorate our 100th Anniversary at the National War Memorial, we're proud to share another tribute to this remarkable milestone. Throughout the morning, the Kipnes Lantern at the National Arts Centre will come alive with a special photographic installation celebrating a century of service. These images reflect the people, moments, and traditions that have shaped The Royal Canadian Legion over the past century—and continue to inspire our mission today. If you're in downtown Ottawa this morning, we invite you to stop by the National Arts Centre and experience this unique visual tribute before or after the commemorative ceremony. The installation will also return during Veterans' Week later this year, giving even more Canadians an opportunity to reflect on a century of service, remembrance, and community. — Depuis 100 ans, La Légion royale canadienne se tient aux côtés des vétérans du Canada, honore celles et ceux qui ont servi et renforce les communautés partout au pays. Aujourd’hui, alors que nous nous rassemblons devant le Monument commémoratif de guerre du Canada à Ottawa pour commémorer notre 100e anniversaire, nous sommes heureux de partager avec vous un nouvel hommage inédit à cette étape remarquable. En effet, tout au long de la matinée, la lanterne Kipnes du Centre national des Arts s’illuminera grâce à une installation photographique spéciale célébrant un siècle de service. Ces images tiennent à rendre hommage aux personnes, aux moments marquants et aux traditions qui ont façonné La Légion royale canadienne au cours du dernier siècle – et qui encore aujourd’hui continuent d’inspirer notre mission. Si vous êtes de passage au centreville d’Ottawa ce matin — avant ou après la cérémonie commémorative —, nous vous convions à vous rendre au Centre national des Arts pour y découvrir cet hommage visuel unique. La présentation visuelle sera de retour durant la Semaine des vétérans plus tard cette année, soit une autre occasion qui sera offerte à un plus grand nombre de Canadiens et Canadiennes de réfléchir à un siècle de service, de Souvenir et d’engagement communautaire.
