What if trusted resources were right within our communities? In the close-knit Harmony Oaks community in New Orleans, LA, trust and connection are an important part of community life. Access to health resources can still be challenging, especially in an area where services closed after Hurricane Katrina and transportation remains a barrier for many residents. With historical mistreatment also shaping how some community members view medical research, building trust takes time.
