I know McCarrhy & Brian Angelichio’s concern of Jaylen Warren’s health as he takes on a more demanding role is warranted. However, I hope they do not make it an excuse for going back to the split they were rocking with before Rico Dowdle’s injury. Warren should still be leading the #Steelers RB room in snap count by a wide margin. If he goes under 75%, that is an issue. He has been the most consistent piece to the offense and has earned the snaps to be the bell cow back they have been looking for since Bell.

If the #Chargers do go in “fire sale” mode, the #Steelers should absolutely call about Herbert. Very and I mean very low chance that they move off from him, but it never hurts to call. This is a team that is very close to a reset from roster to coaching staff so take advantage and see what their asking price is. Herbert is a talent QB and would benefit from a change of scenery, this is Rodgers last year and there isn’t really a true succession plan in place - a trade before the NFL draft for a new franchise QB could be in the cards for the Steelers if they play it right.

The #Steelers have placed Derrick Harmon on the IR due to his foot injury. A big blow to the defensive line, probably will see Gabriel Rubio fill in some during Harmon’s absence.

The #Steelers are signing CB Sean Murphy-Bunting off the #Buccaneers' practice squad. Murphy-Bunting missed the entire 2025 season due to a knee injury. In 2024, he played in 15 games for the #Cardinals posting 3 interceptions, 5 PBU, 2 Forced Fumbles, 3 TFLs, & 52 tackles & allowing a 84.1 passer rating.

Hopefully Patrick Mahomes offers apologies that are as demonstrative as his outburst Sunday night, whilst fully helping to stir the ship forward. Did I do it right @JosinaAnderson?

A certain someone just saw this post and almost called Harmon a wasted pick again..
#Steelers DT Derrick Harmon, who was carted off on Thursday night with a foot injury, is expected to miss a few weeks, source said. IR would be a consideration for Harmon, though it’s not definite. Either way, not a long-term injury.

The #Steelers sent a scout to watch Tony Rojas last night. Rojas is a very interesting prospect, a strong cover linebacker with probably the best speed among the other prospects in his class. This is a big year for Rojas as last season was cut short due to a torn ACL, but that really hasn’t affected his speed so far this season. Would love to see him continue to improve his play in the run game. A true creator of chaos and as he expands his body of work - he could be an easy pick for Pittsburgh in the 2027 NFL Draft.

An NFL insider? If you do not think this doesn’t happen with any other team in the NFL & you call yourself a NFL Insider? If @JosinaAnderson can call herself a “true NFL insider” then I can to. What a terrible take that she will give very thought about.
Both Aaron Rodgers and TJ Watt are extraordinary players. Rodgers a future Hall of Famer, & Watt an 8x Pro Bowler & 2021 Defensive Player of the Year. Their accomplishments demand respect. However, professional status doesn’t give them a free pass, at work, to disrespect, undermine and humiliate their head coach and defensive coordinator respectively—especially in front of a national audience. We all know passions are high in the heat of battle, but the goal of sports is to do things that build a team and bring it together to win. While there's still a long season ahead, right now the Pittsburgh #Steelers are at the bottom of their division and looking up. Hopefully both players offer apologies that are as demonstrative as their outbursts Thursday night, whilst fully helping to stir the ship forward.

Last thing on my rant, even though coaches are the top of the totem pole - captains still need to help keep them accountable. I lean on my captains if my play calling isn’t quick or my adjustments are sticking. I need to hear it from them, if they just stay quiet and say “yes sir”, how do we expect to win against higher end competition that is coached well & having an answer to my gameplan? This take for @JosinaAnderson is just tone deaf to team sports and to coaches that actually give their elected leaders a voice, not only for themselves, but to the their teammates that they lead.

Robert Spears-Jennings really might be the steal of the draft. He was the #Steelers best safety on the field against the Browns and it wasn’t remotely close. Keep giving the rookie reps, he is legit. His speed & instincts really were on display and he is just going to get better.

TJ Watt’s stats from the first 4 weeks of 2025 compared to the first 4 weeks so far this season: 2025 - 3 sacks - 19 total tackles - 5 TFLs - 1 interception - 15 pressures - 251 total snaps 2026 - 4.5 sacks - 13 total tackles - 5 TFLs - 1 interceptions (Pick Six) - Forced Fumble - Fumble Recovery - 22 pressures - 169 total snaps A good jump in production while seeing almost 100 less snaps from last season. #Steelers

The worst thing McCarthy can do to Warren is let RICO Dowdle eat too much into his snaps. I have no issues of letting Dowdle get his shares but no way can they rotate drives like they were doing before his injury. Warren has proven he can handle the workload that comes with being a bell cow back, so reward him. He has been the most consistent offensive weapon for the #Steelers over the last two weeks. You can’t kill his momentum.
Jaylen Warren is on pace for 1,922 scrimmage yards this year The last time a Steeler had 1,900+ scrimmage yards in a season was Le'Veon Bell in 2017

Still don’t understand letting go Elandon Roberts as we have now seen the #Steelers play 4 games into the regular season. I mean just watch Roberts tape from the preseason, you would think Omar Khan, McCarthy, & Graham would realize they could use a guy like him right now. I mean the only other LB that got snaps outside of PQ & Wilson last night was Holcomb with just 5 (he was 3rd in snaps last week in the position group with just four snaps) & Bruener hasn’t played one down yet with the defensive unit (good special team guy though). Roberts doesn’t totally turn around the defensive lapses we are seeing, but he would be a crucial part in moving the defense in the right direction.

Wouldn’t call it a hot start for Everette but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was when watching it live. A few mistakes that you can & probably should to being a young guy that got thrusted into a bigger role due to injury & he just wasn’t completely ready for it. Everette showed there is potential, he gets a long week to work with the 1s if Dean is out for an extended period of time. #Steelers
Daylen Everette is QUIETLY off to one of the HOTTEST starts of any rookie CB: • 52 total coverage snaps • 8 targets allowed • 4 receptions allowed (33 total yards) • 2 passes defended • 60.9 total passer rating allowed The Steelers rookie CB is looking like QUITE the replacement for Joey Porter Jr. 😳🔒

Jared Verse had a lot to say about the #Steelers after the game. I get he is pumped and happy for his team’s success, but it was giving off the one member in the group project that did nothing to help get the A+ & flaunting as if he was the reason for their success. Fautanu had him in a blender though as Verse finished with 2 penalties & 0 pressures. #Steelers

Rodgers going for the home run ball here was mind boggling to begin with, but with how well DK was moving today - you would think he would be eyeing for his big receiver to at least give Boswell a chance to tie it. #Steelers

The biggest Winners & Losers from the #Steelers Week 4 loss to the Browns: 📈📈 TJ Watt 📈📈 DK Metcalf 📈 Kirk Herbstreit hitting his 6-7 quota tonight 📈📈📈 Jaylen Warren 📉📉 the second quarter as a whole 📉 The offensive line keeping Rodgers off the turf 📉📉 Some of the meatball subs Rodgers was tossing tonight 📉 Injuries on injuries 📉📉📉📉 Me continuing to bet on Jaylen Warren Anytime TD (it’s killing parlays McCarthy) 📉📉 Lack of tackling drills 📉📉📉📉📉📉📉 The Steelers when they have to play on Thursday Night 📉📉Daylen Everette Terrible loss and probably missed a lot but I could make the loser list super long, but what did I miss #SteelerNation?
