This is the intro shot from my highlight tape of the #Sooners win over Tennessee. The clip shows only a glimpse of how great the atmosphere is at Neyland Stadium. Getting to play in football cathedrals like Neyland is one of many reasons why OU joined the SEC.

OU’s Week 1 and Week 3 opponents squared off in a conference game today. The Lobos logged 493 yards and averaged 5.5 YPC in their 61-7 win over the Miners.

Jeremiah Smith is the only acceptable No. 1 pick. You can’t convince me otherwise.

The #Sooners added 20 transfers to their roster before the season. Some of them have been great. Others have struggled. And a few have yet to even appear in a game. I analyzed how each of OU's transfer additions have fared thus far: si.com/college/oklahoma/foot… @SoonersOnSI

For any college football early-window watchers… Bryce Underwood was a higher ranked recruit than Keelon Russell

"You've been able to see him just keep growing and growing." Amid early-season injuries to Kip Lewis, Owen Heinecke and Cole Sullivan, #Sooners LB James Nesta's improvement and consistency has been vital for OU's linebacker room. STORY @SoonersOnSI: si.com/college/oklahoma/foot…

Northwestern… *checks notes*…. might be legit?

Three political ads in a row followed by “Liberty Biberty”

"Pointing fingers is not going to help us now at all." Even though OU's defense has been strong so far, #Sooners DB and captain Peyton Bowen believes that the team must be better in all three phases to save the season. STORY @SoonersOnSI: si.com/college/oklahoma/foot…

"We're just focused on getting ready for Texas right now, handling the bye week in a really efficient way." For many reasons, OU HC Brent Venables believes that the bye week ahead of the Red River Rivalry comes "at the right time." STORY @SoonersOnSI: si.com/college/oklahoma/foot…

Kip Lewis Remains Optimistic Despite Team’s Struggles. "We've been through it before, so we kind of know how to nurture the situation that everybody just kind of grows together all at once as a team." ✍️ @CarsonDField | #BoomerSooner si.com/college/oklahoma/foot…

Same organization that employs Ja Morant and employed Ben McLemore digs up tweets from its new broadcaster — from 2012 — and fires him less than 24 hours on the job. Joke of a franchise. Anyone who knows Braiden personally knows the strong character he has.

Former #Sooners DB Robert Spears-Jennings logs his first NFL interception. The Steelers picked Spears-Jennings in the seventh round, and he made their 53-man roster after a strong preseason.

"We've been through it before, so we kind of know how to nurture the situation." #Sooners LB Kip Lewis has played on two losing teams since arriving at OU. He believes that his prior experience can help the team get out of the rut that it's in. STORY: si.com/college/oklahoma/foot…

"One of the things that makes it easy to believe in John is just how he shows up every single day." Brent Venables reaffirmed that John Mateer is still the starting QB. But he also said that Bowe Bentley and Whitt Newbauer took "a lot of reps" at today's practice. STORY @SoonersOnSI: si.com/college/oklahoma/foot…

Oklahoma DB Peyton Bowen says John Mateer “needs to get his swagger back.” #Sooners

#Sooners HC Brent Venables on backup QBs Whitt Newbauer and Bowe Bentley: “We got great trust in them, belief in them.” Venables continued to say that John Mateer is still the starting quarterback and he doesn’t know yet if either backup will play vs. Texas.

Four games down, eight to go for the #Sooners — and none of their upcoming contests are "gimmies." I explored the best and worst-case scenarios and how they could happen @SoonersOnSI: si.com/college/oklahoma/foot…

There isn’t one quick fix that will suddenly make Oklahoma’s offense good. But there are a handful of players who the #Sooners should lean on — or try out — to attempt getting out of their current offensive funk. STORY @SoonersOnSI: si.com/college/oklahoma/foot…

After the UTEP game, #Sooners HC Brent Venables said that star OL Michael Fasusi was "fine" and "great." Fasusi hasn't appeared in a game since then. What's next for the sophomore offensive tackle? Story for @SoonersOnSI: si.com/college/oklahoma/foot…
