Labor is copying the Chinese Communist Party’s censorship playbook. China learned long ago that you don’t need to censor every citizen, you just need to create a culture of fear and make the platforms do it for you. These tactics have been used by authoritarian regimes across the world to gag their political opponents time and time again. The powers will make sure social media companies feel the only option is to over-censor. The Minister and e-Safety Commissioner get open-ended power to classify anything as harmful. Today that’s harm to children’s safety. But tomorrow these powers will be abused to censor complaints about immigration because they harm Labor’s version of “social cohesion”. There are some issues on social media. But this can’t be an excuse to bring in a China-style censorship regime. Social cohesion under Labor means sit down, shut up and don’t complain. Treasurer Jim Chalmers wakes up everyday dreading the next social media post he makes because he knows he’ll be smashed by thousands of comments calling out Labor Lies. Minister Wells complains that Australians don’t believe her after Labor’s Lies. Senior public servants being paid more than the Prime Minister are complaining about their embarrassing answers being shared on social media. This is a government that hates transparency and hates being accountable to the Australian public. Labor hates Australians having the ability to voice their disagreement on social media. After losing a safe Labor seat in the Secret Harbour by-election, the government is desperately trying to censor the internet to keep their jobs and their grip on power. Labor knows they can’t win the debate, so they’re changing the rules and making social media companies gag you. One Nation says no to Labor’s censorship power-grab. We're back - thanks for all of the support over the past week, it was great to see the Australian right come together, which we need to do more often. There is still a lot we don't know, eg. if there really was a legal demand and if so what it was, but while X rejected multiple appeals, it allowed this name change, pending review. We were also demonetised on Facebook on the weekend and given reach restrictions there and on Instagram, with no way for us to see which posts allegedly broke Meta's rules, and no way to request a review or to appeal, which is unusual. Regardless, please follow us on all our other platforms - Facebook, Instagram, Telegram and Gab - if you don't already, in case this gets even worse and we get banned again. Clearly there is some kind of concerted effort to get us removed from social media, but we're not going to stop covering the news the way it should be covered. This just makes us more determined, and hopefully exposes double standards on press freedom - if you are a woke media corporation you can publish pretty much anything you want (you can even dox people) and the government will give you millions and force the social media giants to pay you millions more. But if you are a small, independent, right-wing outlet that only publishes factual stories none of that applies. Ultimately, the tech companies are always going to do the bidding of governments and powerful lobby groups, which means that if any of us want to survive on social media without massive self-censorship, we a) need free speech rights, and b) need to be in government and have our own more powerful lobby groups.

For years now, some hospitals and healthcare providers have been subjecting children to horrific, experimental treatments in service of radical gender ideologies. It turns out that convincing vulnerable children to reject their gender can create patients for life, earning hospitals tens of thousands of dollars in additional revenue per child. The report contains deeply disturbing allegations, and I encourage every American and every parent, to read it. More than just pushing these procedures on kids, hospitals and providers may have been defrauding Medicaid and private insurers by using misleading or fraudulent billing codes to get insurance to cover the costs.

This is the future we must choose.
