- i never learned to fish – it’s a wonder i’ve endured. hunger can be such an odious teacher, a reverse arithmetic – five minus four equals one. i must leave this island forever, hideous secrets interred among the screams. - #vss365

🚨 URGENT APPEAL – PLEASE SHARE 🚨 We are urgently looking for anyone who was in the Fairlop Waters area yesterday (late afternoon), between approximately 6:00pm and 6:20pm, who may have witnessed a serious road traffic incident involving a dog. A beautiful dog named Fiddle was hit by a car and sustained severe, life-threatening injuries. Sadly, the driver did not stop and drove away. The incident has been reported to the police, who will be looking into available CCTV. We are urgently appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time, particularly anyone with dashcam footage, to please come forward. Even footage that may seem insignificant could help identify the vehicle and establish exactly what happened. Fiddle has suffered a fractured pelvis, and her abdomen was also severely split open. She urgently needs specialist surgery, with estimated veterinary costs currently in excess of £5,000. Our charity, Dogs on the Street, is doing everything we possibly can to support Fiddle financially. We are also speaking with a charity vet to see what assistance may be available, but we are simply not in a position to meet the full £5,000+ cost ourselves. Fiddle’s owner is understandably devastated, and Fiddle is currently facing a very difficult road ahead. If you were at Fairlop Waters between 6:00pm and 6:20pm yesterday, please check your dashcam footage. If you have any information, footage or witnessed the incident, please contact us or report it directly to the police. Please SHARE this post widely. Someone may have the footage we desperately need. 🙏 #UrgentAppeal #FairlopWaters #DashcamFootage #WitnessAppeal #DogHitByCar #HelpFiddle #DogsOnTheStreet #PleaseShare #AnimalRescue #DogRescue
