Finding a good memecoin is easy
Finding one that’s still worth talking about a year later is rare
Most memes simply aren’t built to survive that long
Almost a year ago I posted about
$NPC and called $100m basically free money
Since then we’ve had countless new metas, thousands of new memes and one of the ugliest markets for alts
Most of the coins people were shilling back then?
Dead, forgotten or down 90%+
$NPC is still here
And somehow I like the thesis even more today
So what actually happened since my last post?
Well it definitely wasn’t a straight line up lol
$NPC went through months of pain with the rest of the market, slowly bled out, found its floor and then spent months building a base while almost nobody was paying attention
That’s usually where memecoins die
$NPC didn’t
Community stayed
Holders stayed
And eventually the bid came back
Now we’re trading around ~$170m again and the chart looks completely different
Months of selling got absorbed
A long base formed around the lows
Volume came back
But the chart isn’t even what makes me most bullish here
The fact that
$NPC survived is
Think about it
A lot of ppl can ape a fresh $100k memecoin and convince themselves they found the next 1000x
But finding something that already survived multiple rotations, brutal drawdowns, months of boredom and a horrible market for alts…
and STILL has liquidity, holders, mindshare and people willing to bid it again?
That’s much harder
This is why ~$170m on
$NPC doesn’t scare me at all
I’d rather buy a battle tested $170m meme that already proved it can survive than another fresh $100k shitter that might not exist next month
$170m on
$NPC feel same as $100k on random fresh meme to me
One has history
The other has copium
And this brings me to probably my biggest reason for still being bullish on
$NPC
the community
Two guys who have been behind
$NPC basically from the beginning are
@CryptoWizardd and
@cryptocevo
And this one is personal for me
I’ve been reading and listening to these guys literally since my first days in crypto when I was still a complete newbie
Watched them through multiple cycles
So when both of them still have the same conviction in one memecoin after all this time, I pay attention
One thing crypto taught me is that sometimes you just need to listen to people who have more cycles and more experience than you
Anyone can hard shill a meme when it’s pumping
Still being there through the highs, the lows and all those months where nobody gives a fuck?
Different story
That’s what a blue chip meme looks like to me
But community alone wouldn’t be enough
Because when you actually go back and look at what
$NPC is, the meme itself might be the easiest sell possible
Non-Playable Character
That’s literally it
One of the most universally recognizable memes on the internet
One
$NPC for every human on earth
'We are all NPCs'
And I think ppl underestimate how important that simplicity is for a memecoin
You don’t need to understand some niche internet lore
You don’t need a 20 tweet thread explaining why it’s funny
You don’t even need to be in crypto
Everyone knows what an NPC is
And then there’s one catalyst I barely see anyone talking about
GTA 6
One of the biggest games on the planet is coming and I genuinely struggle to think of anything inside GTA that will be more memeable than NPCs themselves
Every “bro is literally an NPC” moment
The internet is going to create endless NPC content without
$NPC having to force some new narrative around itself
And that’s probably what I like most about it
The meme doesn’t need crypto to exist
It already exists everywhere
I was bullish at $100m almost a year ago
I’m even more bullish at $170m today
Sounds stupid until you understand what you’re actually buying
Now let’s see how far the internet’s favorite NPC can go
$NPC
