THIS. And imagine how much MORE we could achieve if we stopped spending so much energy arguing over who’s boycotting correctly.
Let’s not pretend nothing is happening. The radicals ARE organizing successful hashtag pushes, reaching trending lists, and keeping public pressure alive. The backlash around PPG’s collaborations has attracted media coverage. People are still working, and those efforts deserve recognition.
But imagine if more of us actually supported each other’s initiatives instead of constantly warning everyone about how dangerous the radicals are.
Radicals organize a push? Join in, repost, leave a few comments. Someone wants to organize a positive
#BringBackValko campaign? I’d happily support that too. Different approaches don’t have to cancel each other out.
And I’m so tired of being told that financial pressure alone will eventually solve everything.
Yes, the revenue declines we’ve seen matter. But none of us has PPG’s complete financial picture. We don’t know all their revenue streams, merchandise sales, Chinese Android income, direct purchases, or financial reserves. We don’t know how much pressure they can absorb.
Neither do I. That’s exactly why I’m not promising that ANY particular strategy will guarantee Valko’s return.
But treating financial pressure as the only rational option, while shaming people who use other lawful methods, is just another gamble based on incomplete information.
And honestly, it feels like the boycott has become more fragmented. There are still active groups doing real work, but I don’t see the same broader coordination anymore. Many large accounts have stepped away from organizing public campaigns.
Maybe it’s time to rebuild that coordination. Shared hashtag pushes, positive AND confrontational campaigns, outreach to journalists, factual public criticism of PPG and its partnerships. Not everyone has to participate in everything.
Imagine how much harder it would be for PPG to keep ignoring its customers if more people consistently joined the efforts that are already happening.
I’m not asking everyone to become a radical. I’m asking why we keep weakening each other when we could be amplifying each other instead.
Financial boycotts matter. Reputational pressure matters. Public visibility matters. And solidarity matters too.
We’ve already achieved things worth being proud of. I’d love to see what we could accomplish if we built on them together instead of treating fellow boycotters as the problem.
There’s work to do, girls. Let’s fucking do it.

well yeah… it’s literally how boycotts succeeded in history. Starbucks, Nestlé, Coca Cola… It was not financial pressure only that did it. Attacking the company’s reputation doesn’t come from toxic CN platforms. It’s just an activist strategy.
Ppl need to understand that we are starting from a weak position as customers. That’s the power dynamic here. Everyone is against us except for the CN regulations. So please excuse the JJPs for trying to contact them. The “money will send a signal strong enough” is a capitalist fallacy, wake tf up.
