watched a reaction video to Silence of the Lambs on YouTube. The young woman reacting only knew of Anthony Hopkins as Odin from Marvel Films. 😕

RIP. Bon Voyage to through the Great Barrier
I’m very sad to hear of the passing of Walter Koenig, aka Pavel Chekov from Star Trek. I got to meet him on a few occasions, and he was always genuine, thoughtful, and a little anxious in a way that made him very relatable. R.I.P.

Arriving today. Gonna watch tonight. Umpteeth time (and I have like 3 versions of this film) it still holds up. Other iterations pale in comparison. Yup, looking at YOU, Halloween Ends. End of transmission. #Halloween78

🤔 Dunno. So crazy, it just might work!
Hobo With a Shotgun director Jason Eisener has released his own short fan film PROJECT SHAMROCK, which poses a very interesting question: What if Michael Myers was a Silver Shamrock experiment? Watch here: bloody-disgusting.com/movie/…

Watched last night. Figured I’d see for myself if the criticisms were valid. They are. Not the Spielberg of Jaws. Raiders of the lost Ark and Close Encounters. An almost genetic Netflix movie (with a big budget) aesthetic permeates the film. Emily Blunt is good. Rest of the cast is forgettable. It’s not a horrible movie but it is lacking in many areas. Few eye rolling moments involving eluding/evading capture by highly trained agents that could have been forgiven if director had little experience and low budget.

Watched last night for Spooktober Theatre. Wife enjoyed it. I wasn’t quite as enamored with it. Nutshell review: I give it points for trying something different with the legend. I thought Christoph Waltz’s performance too contained. Some of the dialogue and character actions felt too modern. The film came across a bit rushed even given its 2hr run time. Tone shifted from gothic romance to camp and back made it for an uneven narrative experience. I think it’s worth a watch for some of the more outlandish aspects and scenes, but as a whole, it left me wanting.
