Remember that Sriracha shortage during covid? Apparently the company screwed their only pepper grower of 28 years. After they recorded how he grew the peppers with a drone and handed it off to other growers they terminated their deal and sued him for $1.4 million. He counter sued and got $23 million. And sriracha has never been the same since. The new guys cant grow the peppers to the same size and ripeness like the old farmer.

Closing Indian Point was one of the worst decisions New York ever made. The plant supplied about 25% of New York City’s electricity and roughly 10% of the state’s. If the argument is that we “can’t have a power plant near NYC,” that doesn’t hold up: the site already holds U-238 and U-235, so it remains a long-lived target either way. Better to put that material to work generating electricity. TURN IT BACK ON!
