My jpegs started paying rent. 💸
300 NFTs. Zero clicks. $27 in 24 hours.
--------------------
ok so I have to talk about this because I genuinely didn't expect it to work this well.
@0xsh_lk shipped a new royalty setup for Robin Alpha:
→ 8.8% royalty on every trade, all of it flows into a contract
→ 2.3% goes to the creator
→ the rest is split between holders who've held 1+ day, weighted by holdings
→ payouts run automatically every 24 hours
I'm sitting on 300 NFTs. Did nothing. Didn't trade, didn't stake, didn't click a single button.
First day: 0.0112 ETH + 0.0032 WETH. About $27. From one day of just… holding.
--------------------
I know $27 isn't life changing money. That's not the point.
The point is it's automatic, it's on-chain, and it comes from real trading volume - not emissions, not some token nobody wants. If volume holds, this compounds into something real.
And honestly? I've held Robin Alpha for a while just because I like the project and I like the guy behind it. That was enough. Now there's actual yield on top, and that changes how I think about the position entirely.
--------------------
One honest caveat: day one volume is always the highest. I don't expect $27/day forever - payouts scale with trading activity, so they'll go up and down. But the mechanism itself is what matters, and that's not going anywhere.
--------------------
Thank you
@0xsh_lk for building it this way. A lot of founders talk about "rewarding holders" and then never do anything. You just quietly shipped it. Respect. 🫡
--------------------
Not financial advice, and the market has already started reacting - but I'm still not selling a single one.
A collection that pays its holders every 24 hours from real volume is worth more than a collection that doesn't and I don't think the repricing is done.
