Nakaflow now puts @Solana's Nakamoto Coefficient at 6.
Not because the network changed, but because we changed how we count.
Most trackers report ~18 by counting validators. Grouping them by the operator actually running them, building on @andreivacariu_'s research, gives 6 operators holding more than a third of stake.

In epoch 1033, the SFDP bot hit a bug and unstaked Foundation stake from every validator running full Firedancer, including ours.
That's the third issue we've run into since moving over. It's the cost of being early, and we'd make the same call again.

Our offline signer no longer needs durable nonce accounts.
Replay protection is now a hashchain: each execute advances an on-chain seed via SHA-256. The cold wallet signs a 32-byte digest, never a full transaction.

A delegation framework is a filter, not a leaderboard.
Most stakers sort by yield and stop. However, the higher-leverage questions are elsewhere.
Does this operator run their own hardware, or resell someone else's?
What happens to their commission when rewards compress?
Would the network be more or less concentrated with your stake there?
The last one is the only question a leaderboard cannot answer. 🌞

SGP-0001 ratified stake-weighted voting as @Solana's formal decision process.
It also wrote in a delegator override. You can vote against the validator you delegate to, directly, on any proposal.
That mechanism saw use during the SGP-0002 vote itself.
Delegation moves your stake, it no longer has to move your voice.

Solana's first governance round: SGP-0002 passed by 0.33%. The proposal defining the governance framework was still pending while proposals ran under it.

We split our SGP-2 vote. 30% yes, 70% no.
A validator vote is not one opinion. It is stake belonging to people who do not all agree, and a binary vote flattens that.
We voted the same way on SIMD-0228.

We voted yes on SGP-3.
It is projected to cut validator income by about 4%, ours included. A fee that prices what a transaction actually consumes pushes developers toward efficient programs. A more efficient chain is worth 4% to us because it benefits everyone.
