So much fun to present at the @NACRJUSA conference in D.C. with my RJ writer posse, @lindsey_pointer and @DaynaLorentz. We got to spend a whole workshop with other RJ folks who are also book lovers! What an absolute treat to hang with all of you.

There's no better way to learn an important and inspiring part of our history than to visit Harriet Tubman's home in Auburn, NY. It was amazing to walk the land and experience her whole, real person-ness with my friends and family.

"We chose narrative change as a focus of our work to end state and interpersonal violence because the current punitive narrative works so powerfully against the world we believe we can build," write @CharleneAWrites and @CamRasNYC.

I had the pleasure of meeting @FedericoErebia at SCBWI and read his book, Pedro & Daniel. What a fantastic read! The book, the experience, the dichos, and especially the boys, will stay with me forever. buff.ly/4asCQdm

It’s been one whole year since VZ and his friends made their debut in Play the Game! Thank you to everyone who has been with them (and me) on this journey. Spread the word! Ask for the book at your local library and bookstore so VZ can find his way onto even more YA shelves.
