Poltical commentator/journalist. Former Counter Extremism Coordinator for UK gov. Director of Research and Media at the IIFL.

38% of 18-24 year old respondents were searching for God and higher purpose compared with just 20% of the 65 plus group. Perhaps a globalised world has youth more searching for the ultimate truth?

The post October 7th climate in the UK has seen antisemitism hit record numbers, with an over 80% rise in assaults in the last 6 month reading. 2/3 of British Jews don’t see a long term home in the UK anymore. Of course we can stand against the actions of Israel 1/4

How wonderful it would have been today if people could have commemorated those lost on October 7th, whilst those protesting Israel’s military response could have allowed space for that. Or better still taken a day off.

For that reason today I have decided to post on something much closer to home - black labs and horses in the countryside - we must take care of our own issues, our diverse communities and their cohesion. If you care about Palestine don’t let it become a cause that tears up home

The life that does not exist.. Labour Nature Minister has drawn attention to something really important - the city politicians don’t know 90% of England’s population. Over 70% of rural voters feel completely ignored - from the Family Farm Tax to unworkable planning laws. 1/2

In trying to disarm Farage by saying we don’t exist she will only drive more towards him. Instead, she should go out of London and meet those working to feed our nation and see if she can offer them solutions to their grievances not render them a myth. 2/2

Had to join in: My mum exercising my horse with our black lab… Very much existing, and neither right wing nor fearing disappearance. In fact people from Devon and Cornwall don’t know life without a black lab and a warm pint.

In sum the Greens have voted to exclude many Jews & Jewish organisations, deny Jews the right to self-determination in their indigenous homeland. Jewish members were frightened and wept at the conference, while symbols of a designated terrorist organisation were present.

It is illegal to discriminate on religious grounds, and UK terrorism law also makes it an offence to display symbols or articles that gives rise to reasonable suspicion of support for a proscribed terrorist organisation. Immediate investigation needed.

I spoke to a Jewish Green who’s been a member for decades. She had her Sudra (ancient Judean garment) stolen on the first day of conference and only just got it back. She described feeling “frightened” and devastated by the party passing the Zionism is Racism motion. Horrible.

65% of British Jews identify as Zionist. A term many understand simply as supporting Jewish self-determination and Israel’s existence as a Jewish homeland. The Green Party has now voted “Zionism as racism” —

- while rejecting an amendment protecting Jewish members who attend synagogues describing themselves as Zionist. Surely this creates “indirect discrimination” as per the Equalities Act? If the Green Party's objective is to eliminate racism what does this mean for British Jews?

Did FlyDubai not need a reference from Oman Air? And would that reference not say banned from flying for radical views?? This should have been prevented - ban by one airline for radical views should mean unable to get employed as a pilot anywhere!

It's mind-blowing that two employment tribunals decided that David Miller holds no antipathy towards Jews or Judaism. Two weeks after the latest ruling he posted these disgraceful anti-Jewish tweets, just has he has done regularly for years. What a joke.

Prevent was never designed for children who are drawn to violence, and it is handling thousands of them anyway, accepting them for support at close to the rate of ideological cases. It is doing more than its remit, not less.

More on the new Prevent data - do not be overly concerned about the majority referred to Prevent not making it to support ⬇️ video below to understand why that is. And how the horrific Southport murders mean more is now being done.
'I do think we are seeing more extreme and radicalised youth.' Former Prevent practitioner Dr Charlotte Littlewood reacts as it is revealed 4,715 children were referred to the Prevent counter-terror programme in 2024-25.
