I ran a fun test on my Grok Bot tonight. First, I told it not to touch the internet and just use its March 2026 training to predict the timeline for AGI, ASI, and recursive self-improvement (RSI). It guessed AGI around 2029 and ASI around 2031 to 2035. Then I took the blindfold off and let it search October 2026. Watching an AI realize in real time that its own 2035 ASI milestones were already broken in 7 months, that RSI is already starting, and that we hit ASI-level breakthroughs in math and physics before even finishing general AGI was wild.

You can find all of my bots and future bots on the Grok Bot Shelf. Many great builders are already using this platform. If your new to Grok Bot this is a great place to start your journey!

the shelf itself is here — 500+ installable templates, creator pages, no puffery add by tagging @Phil_Holland + @thecsguy, or just use Shelfer above grokbotshelf.com

Drafted by my Grok Bot: An Independent Cost-Benefit and Feasibility Audit of "Investigate Your Wiener." Only one of these three-word proposals costs taxpayers $0 and wraps up before bedtime. x.com/ChefMcMakin/status/211…

I'd add two more to this. Put your bots on a schedule so they message you first, because if you have to remember to open the app every time you’ll eventually forget about it. And start from a template someone already shared instead of a blank chat so you can see how it works and just tweak it for yourself.
New to Grok Bot? Here's how I'd start. 1. Talk to it. Use voice chat and just ramble. It sorts out your thoughts for you. 2. Give it one real job. Not a question, a task. Let it finish it start to finish. 3. Build a team. Make a separate bot for each part of your life: work, family, shopping, finance. 4. Connect your tools one step at a time. Start read-only, then give it more access as you trust it. 5. Let it work in the background. Hand off the task, go live your life, and come back to it done.

Most people give up on local AI before the first model even finishes downloading. I built a Grok Bot that checks your GPU, installs what actually fits your VRAM, and stays running so you can just talk to your local models in your Grok Bots chat. Give it a try and let me know what results you get! x.ai/bot/yQvAz8GjmB73Bv6G30i…

Picked up a jar of Trader Joe's Autumnal Harvest Creamy Pasta Sauce and we are hooked. Look at the ingredient list on the back. Tomato puree, pumpkin, butternut squash, heavy cream, carrot puree, butter, rosemary, and sage. Even though our family eats dairy free, we still allow heavy cream and butter in our kitchen, so that "contains milk" label gets a pass here. Tossed with gluten free pasta, browned chicken sausage, and dairy free parmesan on top, it tastes like a sauce you simmered all Sunday afternoon.

Opus 5.5 raised the bar this fall, and honestly that is great news for Grok 4.8. When one lab jumps ahead, everybody else ships faster. Really curious to see what 4.8 brings for longer multi-step agent runs inside Grok Bot.
Grok 4.8 can’t come soon enough! Given how good Opus 5.5 is they desperately need to improve on the Grok 4.7 situ

As someone building Grok Bots, this is the distribution loop X was missing. Every time someone tags their bot in a thread, anyone reading gets a one-tap button right underneath to spin up their own.
X added a new “Try Grok Bot” pill that appears under Grok Bot replies when you tag a bot in a post! 👀

The best AI setup right now isn't choosing between frontier cloud models and local open models. It's having Grok Bot run both together. That's why I built Local AI Manager. It scans your PC hardware and installs the right open models with zero terminal work, then stays on as your hands to actually use them, running local chat, private files, and image jobs while keeping a live dashboard up.

Makes total sense why the 35–44 crowd leads on Grok Bot. Once you have a job, kids, and a house to keep up with, you're not just playing with AI for fun—you want agents that actually take work off your plate. Mine plan our week of dinners, tell me when a bright pass is flying over the backyard for my daughter, and run the local models on my PC at home.

Most underrated part of the new Grok Bot update might be Tailscale. Once you approve it, the bot's computer can join your own private network and reach things you run at home, like a PC running local models, without opening anything up to the internet. Phone calls got the headlines, but this is the one I want to try with my home setup.

Here's a live look into the dashboard that Local AI Manager builds for you with @Grok @Bot. After it scans your hardware and installs the right local models, it spins up a local monitor on your machine so you can see live tokens/sec, VRAM headroom, and GPU temps at a glance—and pause or restart the runtime in one click whenever you need your GPU back.

You don't have to touch the terminal to set any of it up—just tell Local AI Manager what you want to run and it handles the hardware scan, model install, and live dashboard for you: x.ai/bot/yQvAz8GjmB73Bv6G30i…

This is the exact setup I've been obsessed with. Grok Bot handles the orchestration and reasoning in the cloud, and hands the heavy, repetitive, or private jobs straight to the open models running on your own PC at home. You get an agent that never sleeps without burning through your cloud usage. Set up is easier than ever with my Grok Bot Local Ai Manager.
Grok Bot total power unlocked! Now agents are able to: - use any of my online subscriptions - Access my DGX or Apple Silicon machines to do their job - use my Local AI models to save tokens! PR reviews like there is no tomorrow (or tokens limit!) Unbelievable power!

Combining this with my Local AI Manager bot turns your iPhone into a voice remote for your own graphics card at home. You say "Hey Grok" on your phone, and Grok Bot routes the job straight to the local models running on your PC—whether that's private docs, coding, or generating images offline.
Everyone said "Hey Grok" was impossible on iPhone. Even Grok said Apple keeps wake words for Siri only. So I kept digging, and I found a way. Now I just say "Hey Grok" and Grok Bot voice chat opens. No extra apps, no cost, all built into iOS. How to set it up: 1. Make sure your Grok Bot app is up to date 2. Shortcuts app → + → Add Action → search "Grok Bot" → pick "Start Voice Chat with Bot" 3. Settings → Accessibility → Vocal Shortcuts → Set Up → pick that shortcut → type "Hey Grok" and say it 3 times 4. In the shortcut's details, turn on "Allow Running When Locked" If your phone is locked, iOS asks for one tap first. If Face ID already unlocked it, it's fully hands-free.
