In Pritzker’s Illinois, workers saw 0% real wage growth in 7 years, while lawmakers got $34,000 in raises and now make $101,450.
Real pay fell after inflation. Illinois dropped from 13th to 26th once living costs were counted. The rest of the Midwest grew while Illinois lost ground.
Cook County homeowners just took a $593 million property tax hit, due October 1. Property taxes are up 27% since he took office. He signed the lawmaker raise in June.
@JBPritzker is campaigning as a champion of working families.
The only ones who got a raise sit in Springfield.

Anyone else notice a flood of pro-Brandon Johnson tweets starting the day BJ announced his candidacy? Gotta wonder how much of our tax dollars have been laundered to pay for these grifts.
There is no other candidate that shares my values more than 20% of the time as it pertains to policy choices that I believe we should be making as a city. I'd much sooner get rid of every single alderperson who has stood in the way of this man than to ever vote against my values.
