Yesterday was tough.
I was visiting a friend in the hospital who has bi-lateral quad tendon tears and while there, I get a phone call that my 8 year old son is on his way to the ER with multiple deep cuts after opening an old door with thin windows. There isn’t anything worse than seeing those you love in so much pain with so much fear.
He’ll be ok, and now he’s got his own “war story” to tell for the rest of his life.
On a lighter note, there was some sliver lining in all of this: I didn’t have to watch
#Gamecock football. Something I love more than anything that doesn’t breathe air. I wouldn’t have been able to take it after seeing and feeling so much pain just prior.
Just reading posts on this app lets me know this was the same old song and dance with Beamer and Sellers. Before I say another word, I’m grateful to both of them and truly wish them nothing but the best in life and at USC. I want to win WITH them, but even the sunshine pumping person I can be, I’m beginning to question if we can.
-won’t be 3-0 for the 6th straight season
-won’t see another option at QB in a game where we are clearly faltering at that position on decision making AND execution.
-As fans we can continue to expect that our insurmountable lead on any opponent, home or away, is in fact surmountable until the clock hits zero. The A&M game and this game are just two loud examples of it.
-the ball will be under thrown multiple times a game, even on completions and touchdowns.
-we will have calls made against us that affect the game that should have never been called.
-our defensive lineman will get their helmets ripped off and held consistently with no flags thrown.
I’m not sure I even want to go rewatch it. Giving up 34 or whatever unanswered points is the definition of 💩ing the bed. Not really something I care to see.
On to Alabama.
