I know what it means to protect children. In 1945, a tiny refugee girl was taken in by nuns in Bavaria. That girl is my mother.
I’m grateful to Jesuit Refugee Service UK for the chance to give a speech close to my heart - a speech on why we must protect child asylum seekers.
