This is the type of 3rd and long pressure defense I want to see. More pressure with match type coverages behind it. Easy disguise/rotation onthe snap not to show it. Would love to see the rolled up corner to the field show off coverage so he can see it and break.
One of the rare creepers that Matt Patricia and Ohio State use from this past week. 4 Down Newton (Nickel Bullet) with Inverted Tampa behind it. Most teams would flip the pressure to the Field ILB and keep the Nickel in coverage with 3 open to the field, but Ohio State stays in it. Inverted Crazy Half to the boundary and boundary ILB running through (MRT). Nickel comes free off the edge.

Buckeye fans will have revisionist history and say they saw this potential when he was OSU. Truth be told it was hard to see him with this level of freedom in a QB competition. It is what it is. Two good QBs. Somebody has to win and move forward.
