As an Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran who spent 15 months in Iraq and witnessed Saddam Hussein’s capture, Elissa Slotkin’s comparison of President Trump to Saddam is beyond offensive. It is disgraceful.
I joined the Army after 9/11. Serving this country remains one of the best decisions of my life.
I served beside Americans who sacrificed years fighting Saddam’s regime. Some came home wounded. Some never came home.
Saddam Hussein tortured dissidents, murdered civilians, invaded neighboring nations, used chemical weapons, and ruled through terror.
President Trump won an American election. And won the hearts of half the American public.
Equating the two is not courage. It is political theater expressing historical illiteracy.
Slotkin knows better. Her military and national-security background makes her comments worse, not better. She understands exactly who Saddam Hussein was, yet still chose his name as a cheap partisan prop.
As a Michigan native, I find her rhetoric humiliating. As a veteran, I find it insulting.
Democrats once presented themselves as a serious governing party. Now prominent members casually throw around dictator comparisons, tolerate socialist politics, excuse anti-American rhetoric, and treat political hysteria as a substitute for an argument.
If your case against Trump requires pretending the United States resembles Saddam Hussein’s Iraq, your case has collapsed.
I lived in Saddam’s Iraq.
I saw what his regime left behind.
Elissa Slotkin should be ashamed of herself.
🚨 JUST IN: The Trump White House is RIPPING Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) after she basically said that Donald Trump is worse than Saddam Hussein
“These people are beyond sick!”
SHE SHOULD RESIGN!
Slotkin said this while campaigning with Abdul El Sayed, of course
So she’s supporting an Islamist.
Michigan should flood the polls and vote red because this BS does NOT belong in the Senate!
