I really can't understand why everyone is carrying around these steel water bottles everywhere they go ... little kids, too !!!
Today was a very rough day.
One of our kindergarten students was brought to the health office by two classmates. He walked in hunched over, looking like he was about to vomit. The nurse immediately grabbed a trash can, and he began throwing up. Seconds later, she noticed blood coming from his head and realized this was far more serious than a stomach issue.
Within seconds, he became extremely pale and started to lose consciousness. The nurses worked quickly to keep him alert while 911 was called. His condition appeared to be worsening as we waited for EMS.
Thankfully, first responders arrived within minutes, and his parents arrived at nearly the same time. Watching his mother break down in fear was heartbreaking. While EMS cared for Noah, the office staff did our best to comfort and support his family.
He was transported to a local hospital, and we are still waiting for an update on his condition.
The injury was caused by being struck in the head with a steel water bottle.
If you are the parent of an elementary-aged child, please consider sending a lightweight plastic water bottle instead. Young children often don't understand how dangerous heavy metal bottles can be when used carelessly.
Most importantly, please keep our little guy Noah in your thoughts and prayers tonight. ❤️
