Being a dad means everyone in the house thinks you know how to fix everything. Toilet leaking? Dad. Wi-Fi down? Dad. Strange noise coming from the car? Dad. Meanwhile, dad is standing there watching a YouTube video titled “How to fix this thing.” 😅

I was able to replace my toilet's flushing mechanism by following the directions in the box.

Guilty! I learn a lot from the “wish I had known this before I started” videos too. Posting their “mistakes” saves me a lot.

LOL! So true. But at least we now have YouTube. It sure beats the days of "I wonder what will happen if I disconnect this one".

Hm. I'm gonna say a dad should absolutely be able to fix most things around the house. That's what real men do.

My son was my youngest. 2 older sisters. Dad was absent. He started learning how to fix everything by using YouTube when he was about 12. @TheRestOfUs2020 was our go to! From electrical, hot water hears and he even did the mending!😂 Now he’s a great dad and husband.

That’s okay…he’s learning, everyone is. Being mom is much the same… Something bleeding? Mom Something needs mending? Mom Something needs cooking? Mom Meanwhile mom is researching how important is this thing? What’s in it? Is it a poisonous plant, spider, or snake? How to make that with simple ingredients…etc. 🤣🥂

Dads don’t want to fix things just like us moms don’t want to be in charge planning meals the rest of our lives. 🤣

I get irritated because my husband is so used to me handling everything! The bathtub faucet is leaking and he’s hollering at me while he’s showering. I can’t do shit about it right now. I did order the valve replacement though. 😒
