ALT Vehicle Speeds: Drivers should always follow the posted speed limit on all roads. While it may be tempting to speed up, it’s imperative to remember that the faster you’re driving, the more dangerous the consequences will be if you crash for any reason. The faster a person is driving, the lower the chances of survival are for any individual involved should there be a crash.

ALT Vehicle weights. When driving, it's easy to forget that cars are thousands of pounds and can travel high speeds. Between 2014-2023, the California DMV car registration data shows that cars are generally getting heavier, with 2023 being the first year where people are buying more SUVs and pickup trucks than sedans.
