So glad to hear this news and proud to support research that ensures a better evidence base and hopefully better outcomes for some of the most vulnerable members of our community. God speed @sukhmani_sees and team 🙏🏽

I welcome the news that the OLG
are opening an investigation into @Lpool_Council.
Local residents and ratepayers deserve assurances that council is operating in their interests.
Its an opportunity to get to heart of ongoing reports of dysfunction at Council and to move forward.

Today at Liverpool Uniting Church, the wonderful Member for Liverpool, @Ckaliyanda served our guests a delicious lunch of pasta, fruit, and bread. Thank you Charishma Kaliyanda MP for visiting and supporting our work! And of course a big thank you to The Rev. So special to meet the amazing team of teachers, support staff, parents and students at the brand new Gulyangarri Public School - the first new public school in Liverpool in many years.
Yesterday was the first day of school for thousands of little ones across NSW, and it was also the first day for Gulyangarri Public School! 🎂🎉
There was a mix of excitement and sadness in the air as kindy kids said goodbye to their families at drop off.

For years, for decades they told us nobody cared.
We didn’t believe them. Now they believe us.
Congratulations to all of you who refused to quit at every level.
Tonight is yours.

The Democratic Kurdish Community Centre & Sydney Kurdish Youth Society are fantastic organisations that promote Kurdish culture & language.
It was great to meet representatives from these organisations to discuss how we can support our Kurdish community! @Ckaliyanda @NSWLabor

I had the joy of speaking with school leaders from across NSW, including Cecil Hills HS, Hoxton Park HS and Liverpool Boys HS!
They asked insightful, thoughtful
questions - and then watched the politicians carry on in QT 😂
We’re in good hands with our future leaders! 👏🏽

Gulyangarri is the Darug word for children, and I’m proud to be part of a government that’s prioritising the needs of our region’s children. Can’t wait for Gulyangarri Public School to open in 2024!
We’re prioritising education in Sydney’s high growth areas, which is why we’re pushing ahead to get Liverpool’s newest public primary school open for 2024.

Thanks to @FRNSW teams from Liverpool and Busby for allowing @Ckaliyanda and I to join you on proactive community engagement today. Door knocking homes with a winter fire safety message and installation of free smoke alarms where there aren’t any or they don’t work properly.
