I'd say many a Derry person would agree with Aoife's analysis here. She makes a good point re uninformed (yet patronisingly cocksure) journalists/commentators in the south, which I'd mentioned myself recently.
And while I'd agree about the exclusion of female voices; I think NI media likes to exclude Derry voices in general — because they bring a perspective that sits outside the eastern bubble where most journalists are concentrated. A perspective that can go against the grain, and we can't be having that malarkey.
An uncompromising female voice from Derry — that's ****ing kryptonite to establishment stooges.
