Ok ok one more thing about the ai vs beginner artist thing is the way we experienced posting our stuff online changed. Like when I was a beginner I was posting on DA and my stuff didn’t show up on random ppls timelines, people had to scroll to find it. Those who interacted

we’re very kind and encouraging and for the most part, we’re kinda close to my skill level. So we ended up lifting each other up. We did gas each other up!! We did think we were p good! I think if I was mocked for my ugly art when I was that age I’d be discouraged p quickly.

It was fun and the desire to contribute to a community that pushed me to create more and in turn, better art over time. I’m still not GOOD, but I like posting about my fav and it’s nice to have a space to find ppl who like her too. Helps motivate me to get better at my “real” art
