At @LBofBromley meeting tonight I presented our #recoverybudget plan to put government grants of £1m more each into public and mental health services next year. @labour4bromley would lead in supporting our residents recovery and prevent longer term health crises emerging.

Disappointed that @LBofBromley Conservative Cllrs voted against our @labour4bromley motion tonight, calling on the Government to help struggling families by making £20 a week universal credit uplift permanent ☹️

So that ‘Outer London Tax’ @LBofBromley Conservatives have been hyping on behalf of their desperate Mayoral candidate... you guessed it-came from the government! Yet again- another Tory fib to cover their weak candidate & total lack of policy or vision to support Londoners!

Images of FSM packages on social media are pretty shocking. Wouldn’t feed my child for two weeks and wouldn’t cost me anything like £30 from Tesco. Anger doesn’t come close to how I feel that kids and families who already don’t have very much are being completely ripped off.

Another lie from the PM. The truth is I've had to clean up his mess. While he increased TfL’s debt by more than £7bn, I reduced TfL's deficit by over £1bn before the pandemic. The sole cause of TfL's financial problems is COVID - which led to fares income dropping by up to 90%.
Two minutes into #PMQs and Boris Johnson's first lie as he falsely claims London Mayor Sadiq Khan "blew TFL's finances". The virus did that. Put up the Government deficit and debt too BTW

“What has come out of this period is a sense that there is one rule for the Government and another for others, handing contracts to their friends, and with track and trace we have seen the incompetence and detachment of Boris." - @DavidLammy standard.co.uk/news/politics…

Black Londoners are almost 4 times more likely to be stopped by police than White Londoners. @SadiqKhan is right - this level of disproportionality requires decisive action, investment and community engagement.
London's police are the best in the world, but we must do more to improve Black Londoners' trust and confidence in our police service, and ensure police powers don’t disproportionately impact them. That's why @MetPoliceUK and I are taking action: 1/2

If the Tory candidate wants to get rid of the congestion charge changes, then he needs to talk to the Govt who forced TfL to introduce them & wanted to extend the congestion charge zone to the north and south circulars. @SadiqKhan stopped the expansion, no thanks to you Shaun.
£100m. That’s what @SadiqKhan’s C-Charge hike has cost Londoners. Now he wants to increase council tax, so he can pay for his £9.56bn of waste. Allowing sponsorship could raise £500m. And wouldn’t cost Londoners a penny. standard.co.uk/news/london/c…

Rishi Sunak's decision to block a circuit break means businesses will now have to close for longer, more people will lose their jobs and the public finances will be worse than they needed to be. #CBI2020

Really good news for Londoners👇 Thank you @SadiqKhan for standing up for us and stopping this Government’s cynical price hikes and scrapping of free travel for the young and old.
NEW: We've now reached a TfL deal with the Government. Here's what it means for Londoners: ✅ Free travel for under-18s & over-60s is protected ✅ Congestion Charge Zone will not be extended ✅ TfL fares won’t increase by more than what’s already agreed london.gov.uk/press-releases…
