The ladies got a chance to meet our staff, hear from Ellen (and meet Lola), learn about our program, and watch practice. Another record year of attendance with over 220 here today! Already looking forward to next year!

Attended the funeral of Savannah Parker this morning. Heartbroken for her family and the family of Olivia Pamungkas. What a powerful showing by the community in showing up to support her family today. We are going to honor both girls Sunday at our women’s clinic with every participant being given a pink bow to wear during our clinic. May we all keep their legacies and memories alive. Thoughts and prayers to the families and loved ones

I want to again thank the city of Memphis for the sports Hall of Fame honor but I do have to apologize to a dear friend who has done so much for me who I forgot to mention! Lunetha Pryor has been with me since my Memphis days and we have been through so much together! She should have been inducted to the City of Memphis Sports Hall of Fame with me! Let me also apologize to many others I forgot to mention who without their support we couldn’t have done what we did!

A great evening at the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation fundraiser last night in Pittsburgh.
We all got together to raise money for the Marine scholarship fund and I was recognized with the Semper Fidelis Award.
Two best things about the evening, raised over a million dollars for the scholarship fund and got to be together with all my high school friends, college friends, coaches, teammates, and Pittsburgh friends!

What a special night last night being back in Memphis for the Memphis Sports Hall of Fame! I was able to recognize and thank as many people as I could that helped build that Memphis program. It took bringing the city together to make that happen. Without all of them our success at Memphis wouldn’t have been possible!

Just got back from a few days in DC meeting with lawmakers. The Protect College Sports Act is not perfect but we need to end this chaos now. We need stability or we will lose sports and lose opportunities for student athletes.

I can’t imagine what a college sports fan is going through with all this chaos. I know how challenging it is to be a coach and a player. Everyone knows my stance on the bipartisan PCSA bill in Congress. It’s not perfect, and there are things I don’t like about it, but it’s desperately needed to protect young American athletes and will solve the problems that now threaten the future of college sports.
We’re all tired of eligibility lawsuits in different states, different rules and different outcomes. The PCSA will solve that problem once and for all.
Under the PCSA, eligibility disputes would be adjudicated in federal court – not a hometown state court – and we would get protections and fairness for American 17, 18, 19 year old kids and double the amount of direct rev share payments from schools, which includes retention money.
One national standard. No thumb on the scale. Players First!

Wayne Martin, former Head basketball Coach at Morehead has passed away. We worked closely with him when he was WYMT General Manager as we organized multiple telethons for charity that raised millions of dollars. He became a great friend.
